Figure Painting
Thursday Evenings 
September 9th - December 16th (no class 11/25)
6:30 - 9:30 pm - 14 meetings
Cost $410 (Includes Model Fee)

This intermediate to advanced level course explores both perceptual and conceptual approaches to painting the figure. Ongoing individual critiques and periodic group critiques investigate a variety of topics, including the development of space and form; proportion, color and composition; and the expressive rendering of the figure.

Studio Painting
Tuesday Evenings
September 14th - December 14th
6:30 - 9:30 pm - 14 meetings
Cost $380

This class is an intermediate to advanced level studio painting course, focusing on the development of personal content and self expression. Through slide lectures, and individual and group critiques, concepts such as discovery, risk taking, painting vs. picture making, predictability, and tension are explored.

Oakdale Studio is equipped with easels, palette stands, shelves for storing supplies, and a large painting rack. Please bring containers for water or paint thinner, and a box for holding your materials if you plan to keep them at the studio.
